well, it better be. someone owes me something for the crappy day i've had.
i'm not even going to get into it, but i had a crap morning at work. not really going to go into any details, i don't want anything to get back to the powers that be. i got annoyed at a coworker (i'm sure he noticed, i'm pretty sure i was literally shaking with anger) and i had an issue with one of my products in a building that's under construction. which i didn't get to deal with because i was dealing with the aforementioned coworker's problem. ugh.
so, anyways, i had a crappy day.
luckily, while g-chatting it up with my one of my bridesmaids, kara, she mentioned a little bridal shop that some of her friends got their dresses at in macpherson. i looked it up online and it carries not one but TWO of my favorite dress designers! i. am. super. pumped. i'm going on saturday to try some on. i'm kind of getting down to the point where i need to order it already or i'm going to have to get it rush shipped. the designers are mori lee and maggie sottero. if anyone feel like being girly, i'm taking suggestions on which ones to try on. i have a list a mile long, because i LOOOOOOOVE both designers (i have to admit...maggie is the overall winner...) and didn't get to try very many sottero dresses on at the one place in wichita that carries them, they didn't have the whole line there. i'm hoping this place has some more!
in addition to that, when i got home i got the baker's twine i ordered on saturday! how's THAT for fast shipping! jeez, i haven't even gotten my wedding shoes that i ordered last thursday! (i may or may not have ordered those because they have the name katie in them. and of course because they are red. it's possible.) i'm going to use the twine for some wedding stuff...can't wait to show you guys!
this was probably the most boring post you've ever read. no? thanks for listening to be bitch and moan. :)

ksu v. isu
the boyfriend and i tagged along with my parents to the k-state/iowa state showdown this past weekend. it was held at the kc chief's stadium and it was a BLAST! we tailgated with my (not so) little brother and his 7 roommates (yes...you read that right, 8 boys, one house, can you imagine? yuck.) and most of their families. needless to say we had a LOT of food. and it was delish. mom's corn dip = heaven. (and i don't even like corn!)
and the game was even pretty good, too! granted, it looked like a couple of high school teams out there...neither is so hot this year. fumble after fumble after interception and we even threw out a few new plays that didn't even have a quarterback in them...because he's THAT BAD. so sad. but the 'cats pulled through and won with a blocked extra point in the last minute of the game! it was SO exciting and just reminded me how much i LOVE football!
* EVERY MAN A WILDCAT *
here's a few pictures from the game. we ran into an old friend of kyle's from manhattan and hung out with him for most of the second half. he lives in iowa now and came to the game with some isu fans, he apparently got sick of being with them and decided to come hang out with the cool kids.
k and i at the game. he even wore purple!
the view from our seats. isu and ksu will play two years in a row at arrowhead stadium. iowa state was home this year, k-state will be home next year, but still in kc.
mom and dad partaking in some fun activities. aren't they cute with their little headsets? i think mom got tired of dad not talking to her during the games (they have season tickets to both football and basketball), so she got her own set to match him. :)
some blackhawk's from fort riley (near manhattan, ks) buzzed us. kyle said it was the coolest part of the game. i beg to differ, the blocked field goal was.
k's buddy zach. they used to work at cat together. zach now works at john deere in waterloo, iowa and spent most of the game making fun of kyle's hat. apparently it's not cool to wear cat stuff when you don't work there anymore. i guess i need to invest in some agco gear for him!

i bet you think i forgot about the list...
so, i actually HAVE completed a few things on my list, i just haven't been able to blog about them yet....until now!
#91 donate my time to an organization & #93 help out with casino night 2009:
okay, so this may have been kind of a cop out, but i still donated my time...as an alumni staff member of the boys & girls club of manhattan (i worked there for three years in college), i was asked to help out with casino night, the yearly fundraiser. pretty much it's an excuse for all the rich people in manhattan to get together, fake gamble, drink and buy random stuff and it all benefits the kids.
this year was the fourth year i've helped out with CN, and it was probably the best one i've ever done! i actually knew what i was doing and my friend megan and i were told to just boss the other girls around and tell them what to do. which is what we did when we were at the club anyway, so it was a natural transition for us...HAHA!! and most of us alumni staff wanted to hang out afterwards, so naturally we all went to the bars afterwards. you have to know that working with children is stressful. VERY stressful.

i have to admit that alcohol was definitely a release for me when i worked there. not like i was an alcoholic or anything, but i definitely s
pent my fair share of time in aggieville whilst working at the club. it boils down to the fact that that job was so mentally and physically wearing that y
ou have to do something fun and uplifting so you don't end up depressed all the time. i was talking to megan at CN and i said that as much as i loved that job, my new job didn't wear me out as much because i wasn't thinking about the teens i was working with and what they were doing
on friday when they didn't show up for teen night or if their parents had enough money to buy dinner for the weekend or if they were hanging out with their drug dealer brother or whatever it was that was going on at the moment.
here are a few pictures from the night...sorry, none of the actual event, we were too busy making MONEY to take pictures! :)
kyle and i at pats...the best bar in the 'ville. sorry it's blurry, we fixed the camera later...
miss megan and i!
erin and i showed up in the same dress...gosh we're hot.
the "old" crew...myself, logun, ty, erin, chris and megan.
ty and i finishing up the night...he's so photogenic. :) LOVE YA KID!
you can see more pictures on my facebook page. and if you aren't my friend on facebook, why not? am i not "awesome" enough to be facebook friends with you? FINE THEN, I DON'T WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND. jerk.
