i've got a feeling that my next car will not be a lincoln.

kyle and his dad have been working on mine for about 4 hours and when i left them out in the shed, they didn't even have the old alternator off.

looks like another early morning trip to work for me!  gross.

Sorry for the Negative Nancy post yesterday.  But it's been quite a week.  Here it is in review.

Sunday my car got stuck at Kyle's house.  We moved it down by the barn so it wouldn't get hailed on.  And instead it got stuck in the mud.  Sheesh.  So I'm driving Kyle's POS Cavalier.

Monday I had to wake up at 4 am to get to work on time.  The storms were so bad I decided to stay at Kyle's house and drive to Wichita before work.  That was a mistake.  I should have just come in late.

Monday night I get home and am cleaning up.  Only to discover that there is rainwater in my dining room.  On my carpet.  And in my kitchen.  Gross.  So I call maintenance and they come and see it and tell me they'll be back in an hour or so with fans.  They never showed.

Tuesday I woke up feeling horrible.  I'm assuming from the mold that is growing in my apartment.  I went and looked at it after work and they still hadn't done anything so I packed up and went to my parents house with my dog and cat.

Wednesday I was super late to work due to a traffic accident and then had a crap day.  I turned in a 14/30 notice to my apartment that basically says they have to fix it up and or they have to let me out of my lease.

Today was much better.  I drove my mom's Jeep to work (thanks, mom!) and didn't have to deal with starting the Cav every time I got in it.  I also got a free lunch.  SCHAWEET!

HOLLA! i finally got my new car! no more begging for rides, working late because i have to wait for julie to pick me up, etc., etc. i'm just glad i have a car actually.

and i didn't have to get a loan. because i have an amazing boyfriend that spoils me rotten [HA...right] and since he has money...that i never get to see, trust me, he wrote a personal check for it and i'm going to pay him back. he says he's going to charge me interest, but his mom won't let him. lol. (side note: sometimes it's nice to date a guy with a brother who's not married [anymore, but that's for another blog] and no sisters!)

but, of course, since i got it saturday, it's been dirty from kyle's dirt road, then i finally washed and and as luck would have it [or just becaue i live in kansas...] it rained today. so i don't have pictures of MY car, but to hold you guys over until i have time to take pics of mine, here's one that is almost exactly like mine!

this interior is pretty much the exact same as mine. black leather seats and a really dark grey carpet. wood trimmings...i wanted the metal ones, but we this car was too much of a good deal to pass up just because i didn't want the wood. :) i don't think it looks TOO old lady, but the wood adds a bit of old lady touch to it. :)

yeah, this is pretty much exactly like mine. i promise, it really does have a cd player, just for some reason the 2000 has it in the glove box. it's a 6 disc changer, so you have to take it out to load it. better for a passenger to do that i guess. :)
